Use Your Computer To Earn A Second Income

About a year ago my mailbox started getting inundated with messages about 'earning money on autopilot', 'making money online' and 'starting your own internet business'. I've actually been running online businesses for quite a few years (since 1996, when a lot of people still hadn't heard of the internet) so I had a healthy scepticism. But I thought maybe one of these courses could teach me something to improve my business, so I did some research to look for the most popular one. I signed up for it, paying just under 100 dollars. I must say it really did teach me some new stuff that I didn't know. It introduced me to websites that could help me get more links to my sites, and new techniques to rank higher on Google. Don't Get Overwhelmed I was already an old hand, so I understood everything. But I wondered about the poor souls who don't. The real 'Newbies' who don't have their own website, don't know what 'ftp' means, and can just about open and reply to an email. Courses in how to make money online are fine if you've already got the basics, but what if you haven't? There doesn't really seem to be anything out there for complete beginners--especially those who haven't got the funds to employ website designers. So I decided to write a little mini-course just for beginners. A step-by-step guide, from deciding what your business is going to sell, through to setting up a website on a shoestring and getting it registered on Google. Once you've got the basics under your belt, you can sign up for a more advanced course, and I can recommend some good ones to fit in with your budget. But if you've already bought one or more of these courses, and find them a bit overwhelming, don't fall into the trap of just buying more and more internet marketing courses, hoping that somewhere, somehow, everything will fall into place--it really won't. The blurb for these courses is extremely persuasive, with big red titles showing huge bank balances earned from the author's methods. But these methods are not for beginners.
